Answer truthfully. 1) Do you have to sell, and 2) do you need to do it before the election?
I have studied sources from Forbes to Realtor’s Associations and many others. They seem to each have their own different ideas. They each are supported by statistics. They each change from one week to the next.
There are two things to consider: house value, and ease (speed) of sale.
The house values according to different sources, go from down o.6% to down 1.5% during an election year. Some areas have buyer interest down as much as 30%, while some have pent-up demand up wildly.
The conclusion is this.
There are only 72 days left until the election. I will never be political on this website, but only tell you, whatever you think, your time is running out.
If somebody decides today that they want to buy your house, and the haven’t been pre-approved, you may not have enough time left.
So get moving. Maybe go FSBO, and use some of your saved commission to start with a low price, or some other kind of incentive for the agent or the buyer. Just don’t drag your feet.
If you seriously are convinced you have to sell before the election, then this is the time to do it. We will help you if you need us. We are here and at www.mlsDon.com.
