About twenty years ago, I traded my Minolta 35mm film camera for a Nikon D-50 digital camera. It took photos that were works of art, and for all these years it was bullet-proof, but it’s out of production

now, and the D3300 is the closest currently available like mine. So it’s the one I will review since its the one I would choose, if I had to replace my darling.
Nikon D3300 Digital camera review
Some people are perfectly happy using their phone for pictures of the family. Some people use phone pictures to sell their house FSBO or to make a youtube channel.
Bur there comes a time with a certain percentage of people when an upgrade is desired and a real camera seems like the logical step to take.
For many years I took my pictures of my family and my fun with a 35mm film-type camera. I used a pawn shop sweetheart for a long time until we began a family.
These were important times and I bought a new Minolta X-300 and shot miles of film of the new baby. It was a film camera, but although it was analog, it was a single lens reflex type, a step up from what I had.

I, like most photographers, always dreamed of having a Nikon someday. I finally got an opportunity to purchase one. It was a single lens reflex AND it was a digital! That was fifteen years ago and I have never looked back. Join with us and stay on top of this stuff.
There are, however, a couple of items I wish it had. One is a “live” back to view instead of a peep. And two is the ability to shoot video.
Now, enter the Nikon D3300 for only a bit more than the price mine was at the time. As sharp as the focus and resolution was on mine, this one is three times better.
And the video is 1080p. It really doesn’t get much better than that.
Now this is only the body so grab you a lens, a tripod, and a memory card, and start your own YouTube channel, raise a family, or do some wedding shoots! You’re ready.
