The Housing Market is Hot in Tennessee.
I have been a real estate broker for more than three decades here in Tennessee. In the last year or two, I have never seen anything like the activity we have had in the housing market in Tennessee.
My company ( www.mlsDon.com ) has spread out from its original spot in Nashville to include Knoxville, Memphis, and Chattanooga. It is the same way all over the state. And it’s unbelievable the number of people moving to Tennessee from other states.
It has held up through Christmas and New Year’s
Things cool off (literally and figuratively) around the holidays. People have other things on their minds.
Those of us in the real estate industry, and those who have about decided to sell their houses always hold our collective breath at that time of year. Will this bullish market come back in the new year?
The answer seems to be “yep.”
I put a lot of houses on the MLS in Tennessee
I own Martin Properties, and we help for-sale-by-owners have their house in the Multiple Listing Service for a very reasonable price so they don’t have to spend an arm and a leg on commission if they can sell their house themselves.
Sometimes I can’t even get finished
My putting a house on the MLS is a process. First, the seller has to supply all the details about the house. Then I have to assemble those details and load them into the MLS. It is not difficult, but my part takes a little time after I get all the details.
More and more, I don’t have the listing completely uploaded, activated, and proofread before people are calling to get an appointment to view the house. (Take this FREE FSBO QUIZ to see if you should even try selling your own house.)
Selling your own house is not easy
This job (of selling your house) does take work. In no way, would I try to say it is a piece of cake, But a lot of people are capable of doing it. And for that, they will reap a great savings of money.
You have to answer your phone, let prospects look at your house, and negotiate your sale. It can be easy. It can be tough.
I make it easier
In my years of doing this, I have helped a lot of sellers, taught a few classes, and written a dozen books about the process. So even though there is work involved, you don’t have to reinvent the wheel. We have all the resources you will need.
All you need to do is 1) read instructions 2)follow those instructions and 3) go by the liquor store and get some empty boxes to start packing!
Things you can do with the money you save
Like I have to tell you, this money you save will probably go toward your next house whether it is bigger, smaller, nicer, or just better for you in some way. You can do anything with it. Give it to your cousin Frankie if you want. It’s yours. You earned it.
You let me know any way I can help you. All over the country. Especially in Tennessee. (615) 973-8970.
